Started in 2021, Nirbhay Foundation is the first and only nonprofit organization in Kutch, Gujarat that is dedicated to helping homeless street dogs, cats and other small vulnerable creatures. Here, we are mainly providing a lifeline for ill, injured, and accidental animals in need. Our organization specializes in rescuing, treating, and sheltering these vulnerable animals, giving them a second chance at a happy and healthy life.
Our main intention is to foster the holistic well-being of the ownerless stray animals that are wandering without any shelter, food or medical attention and also those who are caught by any illness or victim of any accidents. We understand that any unfavourable experience like a painful disease, trauma, or accident can impact their life negatively. That’s why we are here to provide a better chance to live life to the fullest.
At Nirbhay Foundation, for these years, the relentless effort of our skilled professional staff to protect and save animals from various situations, including accidents, abuse, and neglect is highly commendable and unwavering. We offer immediate medical attention to get their pain eased, sufferings reduced and injuries healed quickly. Whether it is fractures or wounds or infections and diseases, we aim to rehabilitate each life, helping them fully recover.
After the stabilization and other medical needs are ensured, they are placed in our well-organised and comfortable shelter. Our temporary shelter is planned to fulfil their unique needs, creating a sustaining environment where they can recover both physically and psychologically. Our devoted volunteers and paravets make sure that they can thrive, have proper nourishment, and socialise, promoting their happiness and better health.
Beyond rescue and treatment, we also prioritise the necessity of finding a permanent lovable shelter for these animals. We also conduct adoption programs through which we thoughtfully and attentively find the best homes and owners suitable for them, focusing on a happy, strong and lifetime relations. Thorough screenings and home visits are vital part of our adoption process to be sure that our animals are living in safe, secure and favourable environments.
